* * * TAKING ACTION FOR SAFER ROADS * * *

One of our current priorities is to take positive action around road safety concerns in the area. This is something that our community has highlighted as being an issue they are concerned about.

✅  This week PCSO Greville met with a representative from South Derbyshire District Council to monitor parking issues at Melbourne Primary School that had been reported by residents. Whilst several parents were spoken to, the duo were happy to report no offences took place whilst they were there. We appreciate parking at drop off / collection time can be very busy, we ask that everyone remains respectful and safe.

✅  Earlier in the week, PC Bennett and PC Boniface stopped a vehicle that was being driven by a disqualified driver. The vehicle was spotted driving from Melbourne towards Ticknall. The driver was pulled over and dealt with for traffic offenses.
